Shipping & delivery

Shipping and delivery of every brand new engine is palletised and fully protected. In-stock units are dispatched within 48 hours with tracked, insured freight across the UK mainland.

UK mainland delivery is a flat £85 per engine, palletised, tracked and insured.

1. Pre-dispatch check

Part numbers and fitment are confirmed against your registration, then the engine is photographed, strapped and crated on a pallet.

2. Dispatch within 48 hours

In-stock engines leave our warehouse within 48 working hours of a cleared payment. You receive tracking as soon as it is collected.

3. Tail lift pallet delivery

UK mainland delivery is typically 1–3 working days. Delivered on a tail-lift vehicle and moved by pallet truck to a firm, level kerbside spot.

4. Exchange return

Engines are sold on exchange. Return your old unit complete and drained on the same pallet and your £350 surcharge is refunded in full.

Delivery questions

How shipping and delivery works, step by step

Engines are heavy, awkward freight, so we ship them the way the manufacturers do: strapped and braced to a purpose-built pallet, shrink wrapped and corner protected. UK mainland pallet delivery is a flat £85 per engine, tracked and fully insured in transit. Orders placed on stock items before mid-afternoon are normally dispatched within 48 hours, and the carrier contacts you with a delivery date so somebody is on site to receive the pallet.

Tail-lift kerbside delivery

Delivery is made by a tail-lift vehicle and the pallet is lowered to ground level with a pallet truck. That means the driver can place the pallet on firm, level ground at the kerbside or just inside a yard or workshop entrance, but cannot carry an engine indoors, up a step, over gravel or across soft ground. Please make sure the approach is clear and that you have the means to move the engine into position — an engine crane, forklift or two-person lift with suitable equipment.

Check the pallet before you sign

Inspect the packaging and the engine while the driver is still with you. If the pallet is broken, the wrapping is torn or the engine shows any impact damage, reject the delivery and refuse to sign for it. A rejected pallet goes straight back to us and we send a replacement; signing for visibly damaged freight makes a transit claim far harder to settle. Take photographs before the vehicle leaves and email them to us the same day.

Exchange returns and collection

Every engine is sold on an exchange basis with a refundable £350 surcharge. Return your old engine complete and drained of oil and coolant on the pallet the new unit arrived on, and the surcharge is refunded once it has been received and inspected. If it is easier for us to collect the old unit, we can arrange collection for £85 — email us and we will book it with the carrier and confirm the date. Cores should be returned within 30 days of delivery.

Highlands, islands and export

Scottish Highlands, offshore islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are quoted individually because pallet freight to those areas is priced by the carrier on a separate tariff and can add a day or two in transit. We also ship internationally to Ireland and mainland Europe on palletised road freight, with export paperwork prepared by us. Email your postcode or delivery address and we will come back with a firm price and lead time.

Preparing your delivery point

Before the carrier arrives, choose a firm and level place where the pallet can be lowered safely. A pallet truck cannot travel over gravel, grass, steep slopes, high kerbs or steps, and the driver cannot leave the vehicle unattended to move the engine through a building. Keep the access route clear and tell us in advance about width, height or weight restrictions. A named adult should be available to inspect and sign for the delivery throughout the agreed window.

After a safe delivery

Once the pallet has been accepted, keep the engine upright, covered and secure until fitting. Retain the pallet, straps and protective packaging because they are designed to carry the exchange engine on its return journey. Check the supplied unit against your order before installation begins, and contact us promptly if the engine code or supplied configuration does not match the paperwork. Do not attempt to fit or alter a unit while a delivery query is being reviewed.
